Job summary

Orlando Health ORMC in Orlando, FL, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to collaborate with a physician in inpatient management, consultations, and co-management of surgical patients in the acute care and practice setting.

Under a collaborative practice protocol, you will assess patients, participate in rounds, scrub in, perform credentialed procedures, order tests, and contribute to care plans while advancing evidence-based practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• NP or PA licensure in Florida.
• Active national advanced certification (APRN/PA) as applicable.
• Two years of APP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients and develop a diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Surgically close wounds, perform incision and drainage, debridement and dressing under surgeon supervision.
• Scrub with collaborating surgeon in the operating room.
• Perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as credentialed.
• Diagnose medical and surgical problems and prescribe necessary treatment.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Education

MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS degree in nursing

Graduate of accredited physician assistant program
