Job summary

BAS HealthCare in New Britain, CT is seeking a Physician Assistant for Trauma/Acute Care Surgical Services in an inpatient setting. You will evaluate trauma patients in the ER, perform rounds, and provide trauma consults.

The role supports a multidisciplinary team of acute care surgeons and specialists. The schedule includes three 13-hour shifts with rotating days, nights, and weekends, no call, CT license or eligibility, with mentorship and CME support.

Job Details:
  • Physician Assistant role within Trauma/Acute Care Surgical Services on an inpatient setting
  • Evaluate trauma patients in the emergency room and conduct rounding and trauma consults
  • Perform bedside procedures and provide possible first-assist support in the OR
  • Collaborate with a team of Acute Care Surgeons as well as Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Thoracic, Vascular, ENT, Plastic Surgery, and Urology
  • Full-time schedule consisting of three 13-hour shifts with a rotating schedule including days, nights, and weekends
  • No call requirements
  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience, preferably in a surgical or related setting
  • Dedicated support through an established Office of Advanced Practice
