Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. in New Britain, CT seeks an Advanced Practitioner to join a General Surgery team covering Thoracic, Vascular, ENT, Colorectal, Urology, Breast, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology and Plastic Surgery.

Inpatient role with first assisting in the OR, admissions, discharges, rounding, bedside procedures and surgery consults. Full-time with a rotating 3x13 schedule; no call required.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut medical license or eligibility.
• Minimum 1+ years of surgical or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient setting with responsibilities including first assisting in the OR, admissions, discharges, rounding, bedside procedures, and surgery consults.
• Work in collaboration with several surgeons across multiple surgical subspecialties.
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs including referrals to specialists and other care team members.
• Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice as designated by protocols.

Job Details

• Join a General Surgery team covering a wide variety of subspecialties including Thoracic, Vascular, ENT, Colorectal, Urology, Breast, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, and Plastic Surgery
• Role open to Physician Assistants
• Inpatient setting with responsibilities including first assisting in the OR, admissions, discharges, rounding, bedside procedures, and surgery consults
