Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join a dynamic Trauma/Acute Care Surgical Services team. The role involves evaluating trauma patients in the ER, rounding, bedside procedures, and trauma consults, with potential first-assisting in the OR.

Workflows involve collaboration across multiple surgical specialties. Ideal candidates hold an unrestricted CT medical license (or eligibility) and have at least 1 year in a surgical setting.

Qualifications

• CT license or eligible requirement
• Physician Assistant credential
• 1+ year surgical or related experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluate trauma patients in the emergency room
• Rounding and bedside procedures
• Trauma consults and possible first-assisting in the OR
• Collaborate with Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Thoracic, Vascular, ENT, Plastic Surgery and Urology
