Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. seeks Advanced Practitioners (PA or FNP) to join the Hospitalist/Emergency team in Hartford, CT. This full-time night-shift role offers opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center within a large integrated system.

Candidates must hold CT license (or be eligible) and have at least 1 year of emergency medicine experience, with additional skills in suturing and acute care assessment encouraged. Premium shift differentials and CME support are provided.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible).
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in emergency medicine or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and trauma.
• Perform procedures within scope (suturing, splinting, minor procedures).
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and determine escalation of care as needed.
• Contribute to continued clinical skill development through mentorship and training.
• Provide emergency medicine coverage during night shifts in a high-acuity academic setting.

Job Details

• Join the Emergency Department team at a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center, practicing Emergency Medicine in a high-acuity academic setting alongside experienced attendings and residents
• Role is open to Physician Assistants (PA)
• Full-time, night shift schedule
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses, injuries, and trauma conditions across all triage levels
• Perform procedures within scope, formulate treatment plans, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
• Determine appropriate consultation or escalation of care when needed in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment
• Experience with suturing, splinting/casting, minor procedures, and acute care assessment preferred
• Opportunities for continued procedural and clinical skill development through mentorship and procedural training
• Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in an emergency medicine or related setting required
• Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner training required
