Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. in New Britain, CT is seeking Advanced Practitioners - Surgery to join a General Surgery team across multiple subspecialties.

In this inpatient role you will assist in the OR, manage admissions and discharges, round, perform bedside procedures, and participate in surgical consults. You will collaborate with surgeons across subspecialties, work a full-time rotating 3x13 schedule with no on-call, and must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license.

Responsibilities

• Join a General Surgery team across subspecialties (thoracic, vascular, ENT, colorectal, urology, breast, endocrine, oncology, plastic).
• Inpatient setting with first assisting in the OR, admissions, discharges, rounding, bedside procedures, and surgery consults.
• Collaborate with several surgeons across multiple subspecialties.
• Full-time position with rotating schedule (3x13 shifts) and no call.
• Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted CT Medical License.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a surgical or related setting.

Job Details

• Join a General Surgery team covering a wide variety of subspecialties including Thoracic, Vascular, ENT, Colorectal, Urology, Breast, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, and Plastic Surgery
• Role open to Acute Care Nurse Practitioners
• Inpatient setting with responsibilities including first assisting in the OR, admissions, discharges, rounding, bedside procedures, and surgery consults
• Work in collaboration with several surgeons across multiple surgical subspecialties
• Full-time position with a rotating schedule (3x13 shifts)
• No call required
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs including referrals to specialists and other care team members
• Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice as designated by protocols
• Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience, preferably in a surgical or related setting, required
