Job summary

Banner Health's Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ, seeks a Trauma Surgeon to join our Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. You will provide comprehensive surgical care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and contribute to resident mentorship and medical student education.

Key duties include participating in Acute Care and Trauma call, providing ICU trauma coverage, and developing a full-time clinical practice while engaging in teaching and clinical research.

Qualifications

• Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
• Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care, Acute Care Surgery, and Trauma.
• Demonstrated clinical and didactic teaching ability.
• 2+ years' experience with diverse patient populations.
• ATLS instructor qualifications and teaching background.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with diverse students, trainees, and colleagues.
• Participate in Acute Care and Trauma surgery call.
• Provide surgical trauma ICU coverage.
• Deliver backup call coverage as needed.
• Develop a full-time clinical practice.
• Educate residents and medical students.
• Participate in clinical research.
