Banner University Medical Group in Phoenix seeks a Trauma Surgery Faculty member for a busy Level I program affiliated with UA COM-P. The role emphasizes trauma/acute care surgery, teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activity in a multidisciplinary academic environment.

The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in Trauma Surgery, hold BC/BE in Surgical Critical Care, and be eligible for unrestricted Arizona medical licensure, with active publications and society involvement.

Qualifications

• Trauma Surgery fellowship training required.
• BC or BE in Surgical Critical Care.
• Eligible for unrestricted Arizona medical licensure.
• Active publications within the past three years.
• Active professional society membership.
• Demonstrated clinical, scholarly, and teaching ability.
• Interest in research development and leadership.
• Collaborative professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Emergency, Trauma, and TSICU call coverage (backup call included within shift obligation).
• Elective surgery participation (required).
• ATLS instruction and teaching.
• Minimum 50% attendance at Trauma Executive Committee meetings.
• Mentorship of faculty, fellows, and residents.
• Active research publications and scholarly contributions supporting program verification.
