Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Trauma Registry Analyst to abstract, code and maintain high-quality trauma data for accurate patient records. The role supports compliance with national standards and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.

You will analyze admission data, produce actionable reports for program leadership, and help ensure data integrity across traumatic cases to support center designation and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Facility: Ascension St. John Medical Center

• Department: Emergency - Trauma

• Schedule : Full-Time | Monday â Friday | 8am-5pm (flexible)

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Abstract, code and maintain high-quality trauma registry data to ensure accurate patient care records and compliance with national standards.

• Analyze trauma admission records to drive continuous clinical quality improvement and uphold rigorous governing body regulations.

• Identify audit filter inconsistencies and generate vital quality assurance reports to keep trauma program leadership informed and actionable.

• Ensure comprehensive data accuracy across inpatient trauma cases to directly support trauma center designation and optimal patient outcomes.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• None Required.

• Preferred Credential(s):

• Registrar specializing in Trauma Registry.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

• ICD-10 experience preferred

• Hospital experience preferred
