Job summary

Banner Health seeks an experienced Quality Specialist with a nursing background to support the Trauma PI program and lead quality and patient safety initiatives. The role collaborates with trauma teams and leadership to advance performance improvement, data collection, analysis, and benchmarking at local and regional levels.

Minimum qualifications include a BSN and five years of acute care experience, with strong statistical and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in nursing or related field.
• Requires five years acute care clinical experience.
• Requires ability to perform complex statistical analysis and highly developed problem solving skills.
• Requires the ability to manage programs and projects.
• Requires demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates facility/system-wide quality/performance improvements.
• Coordinates compliance and regulatory programs for preparedness and accreditation requirements.
• Works with system initiatives and protects confidentiality of work.
• Leads and participates in data collection, analysis, and benchmarking of outcomes.
• Coordinates and facilitates the trauma PI program to improve trauma care.
• Publishes reports for facility, system, and external agencies.
• Supports implementation of evidence-based practices at facility or system level.
• Cross-functional collaboration with medical staff and leadership.
