Job summary

Deaconess is seeking a Trauma Performance Improvement Clinician (RN) to advance the quality and safety of care for trauma patients from pre-hospital treatment through recovery. You will work with physicians, nursing leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate outcomes, identify opportunities, and implement evidence-based improvements across the trauma continuum.

Qualifications

BSN required or active plan to obtain BSN within hospital policy.
Minimum of two years of recent clinical experience in trauma, emergency services, critical care, or prehospital/EMS.

Responsibilities

Review trauma patient cases to identify trends, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives
Monitor quality, safety, and clinical outcomes for trauma patients
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to investigate events and facilitate resolution
Participate in trauma rounds, committee meetings, and program reviews
Support trauma registry documentation and data analysis
Promote compliance with ACS trauma standards and organizational guidelines
Develop and provide trauma-related education to staff and community partners
Teach Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) and other trauma education courses as appropriate
Partner with leadership to advance quality and patient safety initiatives
Utilize evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and program performance
