Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Healthcare seeks an RN, Trauma Quality Improvement to monitor and improve performance in our Level III trauma program. You will collaborate with the Trauma Registry and program leadership to ensure accurate data collection and drive performance improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a VA RN license, TNCC, and experience in trauma quality improvement, with strong chart review and reporting skills to support patient safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required; compact state acceptable.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
• TNCC certification required; instructor status preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications current.
• Trauma quality improvement experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate performance in the trauma program.
• Collaborate with Trauma Registry to ensure data accuracy.
• Develop indicators for performance improvement activities.
• Prepare reports for regulatory visits and program reviews.
• Mentor staff and participate in trauma center review.
• Promote patient safety and loop closure in care processes.
