Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Trauma Quality Management Coordinator to support the Trauma Program Manager and Medical Director. The role coordinates trauma quality initiatives across the continuum of care for MIEMSS-criteria patients and participates in data entry for the MD Trauma Registry.

The position supports COMAR compliance, trauma education for EMS, nursing and physicians, and the development of injury prevention programs tailored to the trauma

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience at an accredited Level 2 or higher Trauma Center.
• Areas of clinical expertise include Emergency Department and trauma ICU.
• Experience with project management preferred.
• Experience with trauma patient population required.
• Experience with patient and staff education preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Current MD state licensure as Registered Nurse; Trau ma Certified RN (TCRN) within one year of hire.
• Completion of AAAM AIS course, ICD-10 coding education, ATCN, TOPIC within one year of hire.
• Strong analytic, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Trauma Quality Management Program across the continuum of trauma care.
• Participate in trauma data collection and entry into the MD Trauma Registry.
• Collaborate to ensure COMAR standards of Quality Management are met.
• Provide trauma education to EMS, nursing and physicians.
• Develop and implement injury prevention programs specific to the trauma population.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Registered Nurse licensure in MD

Trauma Certified RN (TCRN)

AAAM AIS course / ICD-10 coding / ATCN / TOPIC completion
