NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Mineola, NY is seeking a Program Manager for the Trauma Center to oversee adult and pediatric trauma programs, Injury Prevention, and the Trauma Registry, ensuring ACS verification and NYSDOH compliance.

The role leads process improvement, education for physicians and nurses, and coordination from pre-hospital to discharge, with budget and equipment planning responsibilities. A strong leadership background in trauma care is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field is required.
• Current NYS RN license is required.
• Certification in CEN/CCRN/TCRN and ATCN preferred.
• 6–8 years ED or surgical critical care experience.
• 3–5 years supervisor/manager experience in healthcare.

Aufgaben

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Participates in planning, developing, organizing, evaluating and establishing standards of care policies for the trauma program; coordinates with most departments to ensure ACS compliance.
• Assists staff in problem solving related to trauma care; communicates with transferring hospitals and medical examiner's office.
• Oversees data collection and quality assurance/process improvement related to trauma care; maintains trauma registry and conducts audits.
• Coordinates trauma education programs (e.g., ATLS, TNCC, ENPC, PHTLS) and CME conferences; supports staff education.
• Promotes injury prevention and community outreach; collaborates with Substance Abuse Services for screening and referral needs.
• Participates in trauma-related research and assists in budget preparation and equipment selection.
