Job summary

Catholic Health Services in New York is seeking a Trauma Program Manager to lead the trauma program from scene to discharge, collaborating with the Trauma Medical Director to implement policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.

You will oversee data systems such as the Trauma One application for NYSDOH, the National Trauma Database, and trauma quality registries; manage budgets, staff development, and performance improvement, ensuring timely data submissions and ACS-COT compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience in trauma (emergency department/critical care) and leadership experience.
• Provide evidence of 36 hours of trauma-related continuing education during the trauma verification cycle (3 years).
• Hold current membership in a national or regional trauma organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Trauma Medical Director to oversee services and systems necessary for the multidisciplinary approach to care of all trauma patients from scene to discharge and in the development of policies and procedures.
• Lead the trauma program operations, budgets, development and implementation of operational practices, and coordination of related activities.
• Oversee the trauma registries and data submissions, including the Trauma One application for NYSDOH, National Trauma Database, and QI registries.
• Serve as a liaison to administration and represent the trauma program on hospital and regional committees to enhance trauma care.
• Assist in education and training opportunities for staff.
• Monitor performance improvement activities in conjunction with PI Nurse Manager.
• Ensure compliance with ACS-COT standards and maintain registries.
