Qualifications

• Assists in preparing the operating room and provides intraoperative care.
• Counts sponges and sharps with RN prior to incision.
• Maintains sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and equipment for procedures.
• Scrub in as second or third assistant under RN supervision.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping site as needed.
• Maintain aseptic technique and monitor supplies during procedures.
• Assist with postoperative cleanup and restock of the OR area.
• Communicate surgeon preferences to the RN circulator and team.
