Job summary

Child and Family Focus, Inc. is seeking a Youth Peer Support to assist parents/caregivers within the Montgomery County Intensive Care Coordination Program.

The YPS provides trauma-informed, lived-experience guided support face-to-face or via telehealth to help families develop skills and achieve their Family Service Plan. You will work with the ICC Team, help youth build natural and community supports, and model coping strategies while navigating child-serving systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience handling complex emotional/behavioral needs.
• Life experience to understand youth struggles.
• Experience navigating child-serving systems (MH, child welfare, probation, education).

Responsibilities

• Support youth in ICC process and develop the individualized plans with family.
• Help youth build their own team of supports (natural, community, systems).
• Model coping and self-advocacy through lived experience.
