Job summary

Child and Family Focus (CFF) seeks a Youth Peer Support to assist parents/caregivers of youth enrolled in Montgomery County's Intensive Care Coordination Program. The role involves direct, trauma-informed guidance in face-to-face or telehealth settings, helping families develop skills and community supports, aligned with each Family Service Plan.

The YPS will work closely with the ICC Team to create and implement individualized plans, drawing on lived experience to support youths and their

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience handling complex emotional and behavioral needs.
• Experience navigating child-serving systems (mental health, child welfare, probation, education).
• Diversity in understanding youth with complex emotional needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support youth and families as part of the ICC Team during meetings and plan development.
• Help the youth build a team of supports—natural, community, and systems.
• Model resilience and guide youth to navigate systems using their voice and community supports.
