Job summary

Child & Family Focus, Inc. is seeking a Parent Peer Specialist to provide supportive services to parents and caregivers of youth enrolled in the Montgomery County Intensive Care Coordination (ICC) program.

Services may be delivered in-home, in the community, or via telehealth, leveraging lived experience to help families develop a Family Service Plan and build essential skills and community supports. The role requires PPS certification, reliable transportation, and the ability to work with

Qualifications

• Experience as a parent/caregiver of a child in the child serving system.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Within the last 3 years, 12 months of paid or voluntary work experience.
• Completed training as a Parent Peer Specialist (PPS) from certified training program.
• Valid PA state driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Parent Peer Support to assigned parents/caregivers within the ICC in their home or community settings as appropriate.
• Encourage and support resiliency through mentorship and empowerment.
• Utilize lived experience to facilitate the completion of the OCY Family Service Plan.
• Ensure all parents identify needs and strengths to establish service plan goals.
• Identify community supports and assist individuals in accessing activities or events.
• Assess progress with plans and celebrate successes.
• Meet clients in the community or other appropriate settings.
• Carry a caseload of up to 20 families.
• Document progress in the agency EHR.
• Model skills related to navigating the child serving system.
• Attend weekly supervision and trainings to maintain PPS certification.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
