Job summary

Child & Family Focus, Inc. seeks a Youth Peer Support to assist parents/caregivers of youths enrolled in the Montgomery County Intensive Care Coordination Program. The role uses lived experience to offer trauma-informed, person-centered guidance, both in person and via telehealth, to help youth achieve family goals.

You will work within the ICC Team to develop youth plans, support meetings, and help build a robust support network spanning natural supports and community services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience handling complex emotional and behavioral needs.
• Diverse understanding of challenges faced by youth with complex emotional needs.
• Experience navigating child-serving systems (mental health, child welfare, probation, education).

Responsibilities

• Support youth throughout the ICC process and assist in implementing individualized Family Service Plans.
• Collaborate with the ICC Team to build a network of natural, community, and system supports for the youth.
