Job summary

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB is seeking a Temporary Program Coordinator to design, coordinate, and implement college and career readiness programs for high school–aged youth across CSUSB campus and partner sites. The role supports youth facing adversity and requires strong collaboration with schools, child welfare partners, and community organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 2 years of work experience in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Canva.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, and work with a diverse group of people.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, initiative and autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate, and implement college and career readiness programming for high school-aged youth.
  • Provide outreach and engagement for youth who have experienced adversity, including foster care and/or homelessness.
  • Develop engaging workshops on College Readiness, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Career Exploration and Planning, Leadership development, Self-Advocacy and Communication Skills, Independent Living Skills, and Social Emotional Learning.
  • Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling, materials, presenters, transportation, and participant support.
  • Evaluate programming and make continuous improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Build relationships with school districts, child welfare agencies, foster youth organizations, and community partners to increase program awareness.
  • Conduct presentations and informational sessions for students, caregivers, school personnel, and community stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with prospective and current participants.
