Good Shepherd Services, Ltd. in Bronx, NY is seeking a Per Diem Youth Development Counselor (Green House) to provide direct supervision and support for residents.

The role requires on-site presence and offers 17–20 hours per week, with day, evening, or overnight shifts and some weekends. You will contribute to daily living routines, safety, counseling, and treatment planning, following Sanctuary and Missouri models.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must complete and pass all components of the program’s designated behavior management/physical intervention training.
• Capable of sustained physical exertion and no condition preventing physical intervention.
• Commitment to use The Missouri Model and group-based rehabilitative approach.
• Commitment to a strength-based, youth development and trauma-informed perspective.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and be accountable for residents’ whereabouts at all times.
• Manage residents’ behavior and maintain order.
• Implement daily living routines, schedules and procedures.
• Ensure safety of residents and maintain cleanliness throughout the house.
• Provide individual and group counseling and participate in treatment planning including home visits and activities.
