Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring a part-time Youth Care Worker at Texas Monarch Academy for Girls (TMAG) in Denison, Texas. TMAG is a secure post-adjudication facility serving young women ages 10–17, offering schooling, therapy, dorms and activities.

You will supervise youth in person, support their physical, personal and health needs through counseling and skill development, and collaborate with staff to meet each youth's treatment plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Pass the search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and around-the-clock in-person supervision of youth at a secure residential facility.
• Support physical, personal and health needs through individual counseling and skill development.
• Monitor and document behaviors and activities; participate in educational, social, athletic and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with other staff to meet each youth's treatment goals.
