Job summary

Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs in Needham, MA is seeking Direct Care Counselors to work with children and youth in a 24/7 residential setting, delivering trauma-informed, relationship-based care to help youth feel safe and grow.

You'll supervise youth, support daily living activities, implement treatment plans, document care and incidents, participate in supervision and training, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Prior experience working with youth in a residential setting preferred.
• Must pass criminal background check; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide a therapeutic milieu for clients within the CBAT Program.
• Supervise youth at all times and plan engaging activities for each shift.
• Assist with daily living activities and help youth develop life skills.
• Document care and treatment and prepare reports for discharges.
• Attend MDT and treatment meetings and collaborate across shifts.
