Job summary

FosterAdoptConnect seeks a Behavioral Interventionist to work one-on-one with children facing behavioral health challenges, employing trauma-informed approaches to support daily living skills and emotional regulation. You’ll implement individualized plans, receive ongoing supervision, and help families establish routines while engaging in activities tailored to each child’s interests.

3–5 sessions weekly, afternoons/evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with elevated behavioral needs preferred.
• Must be willing and able to perform safety holds on clients at immediate risk.
• Must be able to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must have smartphone and laptop willing to use for work purposes.
• Willing to commute up to 30 miles to a client’s home.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR and CPI Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children on neurodevelopmental activities to build healthier emotional regulation.
• Provide role-modeling, coaching, and redirection to develop positive skills.
• Follow individualized behavioral plans with ongoing training and supervision.
• Create engaging activities based on each child’s interests and goals and work 3–5 times per week.
• Support families by promoting healthy relationships and community engagement.
