Job summary

FosterAdoptConnect in Leavenworth, KS, seeks a part-time Behavioral Interventionist to support children with mental and behavioral health challenges. You’ll work 3–5 times weekly in afternoons, evenings, or weekends, following individualized plans, with supervision and ongoing training provided.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), ability to perform safety holds, and reliable transportation to client homes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with elevated behavioral needs is a plus.
• Must be able to perform safety holds on clients at immediate risk, following training.
• Must be able to navigate stairs, climb, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Willing to commute up to 30 miles to a client’s home.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children on neurodevelopmental activities to improve emotional regulation.
• Follow individualized behavioral plans with ongoing training and supervision.
• Provide afternoons, evenings, and weekend sessions 3–5 times per week.
• Help children develop healthy relationships and communication skills in home, school, and community.
