Job summary

Bashor Home of the United Methodist Church Inc is seeking a compassionate and dynamic House Manager (Unit Manager) to lead a residential care team and create a safe, structured, trauma-informed environment for youth in need of healing and support.

You will supervise direct care staff, coordinate care, and guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed services in a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services required.
• Leadership experience in residential/youth services helpful.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices or willingness to learn.
• Solid organization, time management and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support a team of Youth Care Professionals.
• Oversee direct care delivery and meet physical, emotional and therapeutic needs of youth.
• Coordinate routines, activities, transportation, and schedules.
• Build effective teamwork across shifts and promote positive communication.
• Model trauma-informed care and positive behavior management strategies.
• Complete documentation including reports and treatment updates.
• Support hiring, training, and morale-building within the unit.
• Promote professionalism, accountability and a supportive team culture.
