Bashor Home of the United Methodist Church Inc is seeking a compassionate and dynamic House Manager (Unit Manager) to lead a residential care team and create a safe, structured, trauma-informed environment for youth in need of healing and support.

You will supervise direct care staff, coordinate care, and guide a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed services in a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services required.
• Leadership experience in residential/youth services helpful.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices or willingness to learn.
• Solid organization, time management and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support a team of Youth Care Professionals.
• Oversee direct care delivery and meet physical, emotional and therapeutic needs of youth.

Bashor Children’s Home is seeking a compassionate and dynamic House Manager (Unit Manager) to join our dedicated residential care team. In this leadership role, you’ll help create a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment for youth in need of healing and support. You’ll play a critical role in guiding staff, coordinating care, and contributing to the overall well‑being and growth of the youth we serve.

As a Unit Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a residential unit, supervise direct care staff, and ensure high‑quality, therapeutic services for youth. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver consistent, trauma‑informed support in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support a team of Youth Care Professionals




• Oversee direct care delivery and ensure the physical, emotional, and therapeutic needs of youth are met




• Coordinate routines, recreational activities, transportation, and schedules




• Build effective teamwork across shifts and promote positive communication




• Model trauma-informed care and reinforce positive behavior management strategies




• Complete documentation including reports, evaluations, and treatment updates




• Support hiring, training, and morale‑building efforts within the unit




• Promote professionalism, accountability, and a supportive team culture

What You’ll Bring

Schedule

This full‑time position requires flexibility and availability to support staff across shifts. Unit Managers generally work:

• 3 morning shifts and 2 evening shifts per week




• At least two evenings per week, including one weekend day




• Off‑days typically include either Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday
