Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full-time Victims Counselor / Advocate to provide trauma‑informed services to victims of crime, domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, including medical and legal advocacy. This role involves advocacy, accompaniment, education, and referrals, with a focus on empowering clients and supporting their safety and well‑being.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, gender studies, or a related field and/or
  • Four years of experience in human services or social work
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Personal vehicle required
  • Ability to work independently with professionalism and integrity
  • Experience with outreach education and public speaking preferred
Responsibilities
  • Provide trauma‑informed advocacy services to victims of crime
  • Offer medical and legal advocacy, accompaniment, and support
  • Provide information and referrals to appropriate community services
  • Assist clients in navigating systems and accessing needed resources
  • Participate in outreach education and public speaking as needed
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
  • Follow program guidelines and agency policies
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Schedule & Pay
  • Full‑time position
  • 35 hours per week
  • Pay range: $23.39 – $27.90 per hour
