Job summary

Child & Family Service in Honolulu, HI seeks a Domestic Violence Specialist II N to provide direct services to TANF/TANOF participants facing barriers from domestic violence. You will assess, plan, and coordinate supportive services to help clients move toward self-sufficiency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field with 2–4 years of experience, including domestic violence. Strong trauma-informed practice and group facilitation skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree as required; training in social work, psychology or related field.
  • Over two years up to four years of experience; two years in domestic violence or related field.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and effects of trauma; ability to conduct intakes and assessments.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing compassionate services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct services to TANF/TANOF participants experiencing barriers due to domestic violence.
  • Perform assessments and service planning; link participants to community services.
  • Support participants toward self-sufficiency through work, school or related activities.
