Job summary

Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) seeks a Training & Development Specialist to support the Training & Development Supervisor and the Child and Family Services Division. The role focuses on promoting training initiatives to improve staff performance and service delivery for children and families.

The position involves presenting and facilitating trainings, developing curricula, and applying trauma-informed best practices in child welfare.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of training principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of adult learning and e-learning.
  • Knowledge of organizational assessment methodologies.
  • Skill in researching and developing training curriculum and e-learning models.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, facilitating or presenting training.
  • Ability to make decisions that are aligned with the goals of the division.
  • Ability to evaluate performance and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with management to improve employee performance and enhance child welfare service delivery.
  • Presents training or facilitates training by other training professionals.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on trauma-informed best practices in child welfare.
