Job summary

Portland State University seeks a TIO Trainer & Curriculum Program Specialist to design, implement, and evaluate trauma‑informed curricula and training materials. You will deliver trainings and consult with teams to ensure quality experiences across sectors as part of the TIO program.

Working with the PSU AAUP framework, you will coordinate with the TIO team to meet deliverables under the Oregon Health Authority contract, emphasizing inclusive, trauma‑informed practices and effective adult

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus at least four years’ experience in a related field, or Masters with at least two years’ experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of trauma informed practices.
• Highly detail oriented.
• Experience training and developing training content using adult learning techniques and principles.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail, and excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, set boundaries, and meet deadlines.
• Skills with technology used in adult learning (e.g. video editing).
• Ability to engage with co‑workers and community partners for scheduling, event support, and additional administrative requests.

Responsibilities

• Developing, providing, disseminating, and updating training and consultation material.
• Delivering training on trauma‑informed care.
• Working with the training coordinator to ensure high-quality experiences for all involved.
