Job summary

Portland State University is seeking a TIO Trainer & Curriculum Program Specialist to develop, deliver, and evaluate trauma-informed training across multiple sectors. You will work closely with the Trauma Informed Oregon team to create engaging, high-quality curricula and materials, ensuring programs meet contract deliverables with the Oregon Health Authority.

The role requires advancing training content, coordinating with staff, and supporting trainees with comprehensive, accessible resources.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus at least 4 years’ experience in a related field, or Masters with at least 2 years’ experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of trauma informed practices.
• Highly detail oriented
• Experience training and developing training content using adult learning techniques and principles.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, set boundaries, and meet deadlines.
• Skills with technology used in adult learning (e.g. video editing).
• Ability to engage with co-workers and community partners for scheduling, event support, and additional administrative requests.

Responsibilities

• Develop, provide, and evaluate curriculum and training programs that integrate trauma-informed practices across sectors.
• Deliver training on trauma-informed care and related materials.
• Collaborate with the training coordinator to ensure high-quality experiences for all participants.
• Work with the TIO team to complete deliverables outlined in the TIO PSU contract with the Oregon Health Authority.
• Assist in updating training and consultation materials as needed.
