The role delivers Pre‑Service and Specialty training to DCS staff, emphasizing trauma-informed care and the DCS Practice Model. The position requires experience in child welfare and training delivery, plus strong communication and facilitation skills.

Qualifications

• At least one year of direct child welfare field experience.
• At least one year of experience in training delivery, adult education, or staff development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and other virtual training tools.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving training environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Pre-Service training to new DCS employees on fundamentals and program topics.
• Teach the Practice Wheel components and trauma-informed practices.
• Provide coaching and actionable feedback to new hires based on observations.
• Proctor Pre-Service assessments and support evaluation processes.
• Support case panel presentations and Simulation Lab activities where applicable.
• Provide web-based technical assistance for virtual training delivery.
• Use Microsoft Teams and other platforms to conduct and support training sessions.
• Collaborate with training team members and leadership to ensure content quality.
• Travel as required; mileage reimbursement will be available.
