Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a SUD Treatment Counselor, Behavioral Health Specialist 1, or Qualified Mental Health Associate (Salem) to deliver gender-inclusive, trauma-informed SUD treatment to adults in custody at an outpatient level of care.

The role requires QMHA credentialing and CADC 1 or higher with MHACBO, ASAM assessment, treatment planning, group facilitation, case management, and discharge planning, working with Peer Recovery Mentors in a 24/7 facility in Salem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field.
• Three years of relevant work, education, training, or experience OR QMHA certification.
• QMHA certification or eligibility; CADC I or higher with MHACBO.

Responsibilities

• Deliver gender-inclusive, trauma-informed SUD treatment using a chronic disease framework for adults in custody (AIC) at outpatient level.
• Provide ASAM assessment, treatment planning, group facilitation, individualized SUD treatment counseling, psychosocial skills development, case management, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with AIC Peer Recovery Mentors and maintain contact with institution staff and partner agencies.
