Job summary

Central City Concern is seeking an On Call SUDS Counselor to join the Old Town Recovery Center team in Portland, OR. The role supports treatment and case management, crisis intervention, and access to housing and education. Shifts are 4 or 8 hours, with 2–4 shifts per month.

The position requires CADC-1/2/3 credentials, a diploma or GED, and the ability to work with diverse clients. Candidates must pass screenings, CPR, and background checks; prior CCC privileging is necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have one of CADC-1, CADC-2 or CADC-3.
• High School Diploma or GED; advanced degree preferred.
• Bilingual SUDS counselors must demonstrate proficiency in a secondary language.
• Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
• Experience in chemical dependency treatment, preferably with outpatient adults who have co-occurring disorders.
• CPR certification prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and assessment of potential clients to determine treatment needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Attend clinical staff meetings and case conferences to support treatment planning.
• Provide group counseling and case management as needed.
• Complete clinical documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and mandatory CCC trainings.
• Document services in the electronic health record within 72 hours.
