Job summary

Central City Concern in Portland is seeking On-Call SUDs Counselors to support withdrawal management and treatment linkage in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting. The role focuses on ASAM-based assessments, discharge planning, and individualized client care.

You will collaborate with nurses, technicians, and case managers while maintaining documentation and privacy compliance. A valid CADC certification and CPR/First Aid are required, with preference for those available mornings.

Qualifications

• CADC-1/2/3 certification required.
• Experience with assessments, documentation, and case management.
• Knowledge of addiction, homelessness, and co-occurring disorders.
• Strong counseling skills and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required; background checks expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate counseling during withdrawal management.
• Conduct ASAM-based assessments and create discharge plans.
• Connect clients with treatment programs and community resources.
• Collaborate with nurses, technicians, and case managers on patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure privacy regulations are followed.
