Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, Inc., seeks a licensed Special Education teacher for a trauma-informed classroom in Virginia. The role centers on delivering SOL-aligned instruction, supporting students with emotional and developmental needs, and implementing data-driven IEP goals.

You will collaborate with staff, maintain student progress records, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines while fostering Safety, Dignity, and Opportunity in daily practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Virginia SPED teaching license.
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities (ED) or SPED.
• Background clearance and ability to meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a structured, trauma-informed classroom, delivering instruction aligned to SOLs and IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied academic, behavioral, communication, and sensory needs.
• Implement evidence-based teaching strategies and social-emotional supports.
• Design and deliver instruction integrating KEYS for a Big Life Curriculum and Social Thinking.
