Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher to lead a structured, trauma-informed classroom in Virginia. You will design individualized instruction aligned to each student’s IEP goals, integrating KEYS for a Big Life Curriculum and Social Thinking framework.

You will collaborate with the School Director, provide data-driven progress updates, and support students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs in a small classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in education required; Virginia SPED license required.
• Endorsements in Emotional Disabilities or SPED required; license-eligible candidates accepted.
• Must maintain licensure and required certifications.
• Experience with SOL-aligned instruction and IEPs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured, trauma-informed classroom in KEYS Academy.
• Design and deliver instruction aligned to SOLs and IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Record attendance, progress, and reporting accurately.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers.
