Job summary

The Social Worker at Leonard Johnson Early Learning Center in Englewood, NJ provides social-emotional support, family-centered services, and behavioral interventions to children, youth, and families served by Bergen Family Center programs.

This exempt, full-time position reports to the Director of Early Learning and collaborates with educators, families, and community partners to identify needs, coordinate services, and promote positive outcomes through trauma-informed, evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) required.
• Must successfully complete required background checks and meet applicable state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered interventions and brief supportive counseling for school-age youth and adolescents.
• Coordinate referrals to Early Intervention, mental health providers, and other community resources.
• Coach educators and staff on trauma-informed care and social-emotional development.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and student support meetings to develop coordinated service plans.
