Job summary

SJRC Texas in Bulverde, TX is seeking a Shift Supervisor-YOUTH CARE SPECIALIST (OVN) to supervise Youth Care Specialists in ratio and uphold program expectations during each shift. This full-time role requires direct care experience, trauma-informed approaches, and the ability to coordinate weekly staff schedules, maintain shift logs, and liaise with case managers to support youth progress.

Flexibility for days/evenings/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Two years in a Direct Care role or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED; degree preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to work days/evenings/weekends/holidays.
• Commitment to the program and DFPS standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Youth Care Specialists while in ratio and provide direct care.
• Create weekly staff schedules and obtain supervisor approval.
• Collaborate with the team for program continuity and youth needs.
• Maintain logs, documents and shift reports.
• Provide trauma-informed emotional support to youth.
• Coordinate activities and transportation as needed.
• Document progress and report abuse or neglect as required.
