Job summary

Faith House Emergency Shelter in Glendale, AZ, sponsored by A New Leaf, seeks a Program Supervisor to lead day-to-day shelter operations and delivery of trauma-informed, participant-centered services. You will oversee staff, coordinate scheduling, ensure compliance, and partner with the Program Manager on performance improvements.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, knowledge of trauma-informed care, and a commitment to safeguarding participants.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in human services, behavioral health, shelter or residential services, housing programs, crisis services, case management, community-based services, or other related program operations.
• Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience, including staff direction, coaching, performance feedback, and day-to-day oversight.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, crisis intervention, participant-centered service delivery, community resources, and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision, direction, coaching, and technical support to shelter staff to promote effective performance, accountability, and quality participant services.
• Coordinate daily staffing assignments, schedules, and workflow to maintain shelter operations coverage.
• Monitor employee performance and provide timely coaching, feedback, and guidance; escalate significant matters as appropriate.
• Participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, transfers, corrective action, separations, and staff development with the Program Manager and HR.
• Complete staff evaluations, competency assessments, and required supervisory documentation timely.
• Conduct staff orientation and ensure training related to procedures, safety, confidentiality, and professional standards.
