Job summary

St Pjs children's home seeks a Domestic Shelter Supervisor to help guide shelter operations under the Program Director, ensuring trauma-informed, high-quality services for residents and children and maintaining adequate staffing to meet needs.

You will lead direct care staff, ensure licensing compliance, provide on-floor supervision and coaching, coordinate admissions, and uphold confidentiality and safety policies while supporting staff development and morale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ related experience with oversight of staff preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily supervision of direct care staff, team leaders, and Weekend Supervisor.
• Schedule staffing to meet licensing requirements and ensure client safety.
• Provide trauma-informed care principles training and coaching.
• Maintain documentation per licensing standards, funding requirements, and agency policies.
• Monitor resident development across social, emotional, educational, and recreational domains.
• Provide feedback on staff performance and address corrective actions when needed.
• Coordinate admissions and placement inquiries with stakeholders.
