Job summary

The Eli Home in Anaheim, CA is seeking a compassionate Shelter Program House Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our shelter, ensuring a safe, structured environment for residents and families. You will supervise staff, coordinate intake and case management with program staff, and uphold trauma-informed policies while responding to crises with calm and clear intervention.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience in residential or shelter settings.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shelter operations, ensuring a safe and supportive living environment for residents.
• Supervise, mentor, and support shelter staff and volunteers during assigned shifts.
• Manage resident intake, orientation, and case coordination with program staff.
• Enforce shelter policies with a trauma-informed approach.
• Respond to resident crises, conflicts, and emergencies with appropriate intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and resident records in compliance with program standards.
• Coordinate with social workers, case managers, and community resources to support resident needs.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
