Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine is seeking a Trauma Specialist in Philadelphia. The role focuses on trauma‑informed schools, community engagement, and educational coaching, with a hybrid on-campus/remote work arrangement.

Requires a Bachelor’s in social work/education or related field and 4+ years of trauma‑informed experience, plus crisis intervention background. Salary ranges from $65,000 to $72,000 with comprehensive benefits including health, paid time off, and tuition

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Education, or related field
• At least four years of related trauma informed experience, training and/or community engagement; and/or at least four years of previous counseling experience
• Previous crisis intervention experience
• Previous experience in community engagement.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop trauma informed assessments for schools, communities, and/or systems
• Utilize trauma sensitive/informed modalities and therapeutic interventions
• Address symptoms of trauma in schools, communities, and/or systems; provide referrals and intensive support services
• Facilitate groups
• Disseminate trauma sensitive information to staff, families, community groups, local leaders, and the general public
• Record data
• Participate in school based and community meetings
• Maintain open communication with supervisor, personnel, staff, volunteers, individuals, and/or family members.
