Job summary

Lawrence Hall in Chicago, IL is seeking a School Social Worker to deliver trauma-informed social work services within the Education Department, supporting students' academic, emotional, behavioral, and social development.

You will conduct intakes, develop treatment plans, support IEP goals, and collaborate with educators and families to ensure safe, supportive learning environments. This full-time role requires TCI certification and active licensure, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• LSW or LCSW or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• PEL/Type 73 license required unless licensed as an LCSW.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TCI certification.
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to engage students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• No history of child abuse or neglect.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social work services to students and families in education department.
• Conduct student intakes, assessments, crisis interventions, and psychiatric hospitalization evaluations as appropriate.
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans and interventions for students.
• Support IEP goals, FBAs, BIPs, social-emotional goals, and transition plans.
• Collaborate with students, families, educators, and community providers to coordinate services.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations.
