Job summary

Volunteer Behavioral Health is seeking a School-Based Behavioral Health Liaison (SBBHL), a Masters-educated mental health clinician who will work with schools to implement universal, trauma-informed practices benefiting students at risk for SED or behavioral health concerns.

The role uses MTSS with Tier I–III supports, delivering trainings, consultation, and direct services in schools, with most work on-site during the school calendar.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Masters Degree in Behavioral Sciences (social work, counseling, or psychology).
• Prefer experience in a school setting.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to school policies and schedules, and ability to work remotely as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide services as outlined in the SBBHL scope for School-Based Behavioral Health Liaison.
• Offer formal and informal training to school personnel in trauma-informed approaches and behavioral health topics.
• Support and consultation to teachers in implementing school-wide trauma-informed practices.
• Facilitate a School Climate Activity in each school served and provide individual student interventions as needed.
• Maintain a regular 40-hour weekly schedule, mostly on-site, with logs for monthly reports and ensure informed consent.
• Participate in grant team meetings and trainings; perform other duties as assigned.
