Mental Health Cooperative, Inc. seeks a School Based Behavioral Health Liaison for Montgomery County. The role supports trauma-informed practices in schools, provides training to staff, and delivers interventions and psychoeducation to students to promote coping and de-escalation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social or behavioral science or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in social services.
• Experience working with children/youth and families.
• Strengths-based, client-centered approach to service delivery.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License; acceptable MVR; background check; auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and consultation to teachers and school personnel in implementing school-wide trauma-informed practices.
• Provide training and education to school personnel in behavioral health topics and trauma-informed approaches.
• Provide individual and/or group interventions and psychoeducation to students.
• Foster positive relationships between the school and families.
• Develop trauma-informed support plans collaboratively with the school and families.
• Assist teachers in creating trauma-informed classroom environments.
• Participate in trauma-informed trainings and apply knowledge to school-wide practices.
