Job summary

Centerstone seeks a School-Based Behavioral Health Liaison to provide face-to-face consultation with teachers, helping create trauma-informed classrooms and supportive environments for youth at risk. The role includes psycho-educational groups and liaison work between families and schools, with IEP collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (clinical psychology, MH counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or MH counseling specialization).
• Licensed-eligible in respective discipline preferred, or 24 graduate-level hours in psychology/social work/counseling if outside listed fields.
• Clinical experience required (internships/practicums accepted).

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face consultation with teachers to foster trauma-informed classrooms.
• Deliver at least one on-site training per year for LEA personnel on mental health topics.
• Assist in developing school-wide mental health initiatives and prevention strategies.
• Act as liaison between school and family to support IEP processes and trauma-informed plans.
• Maintain documentation and logs for grant and organizational reporting.
• Support students with coping skills and psychoeducation groups (3 per year).
