Job summary

Mental Health Cooperative in Tennessee is seeking a Behavioral Health Liaison, School Based for Montgomery Co. The role supports trauma-informed practices in schools, provides training for staff, and delivers interventions to students to foster positive coping and de-escalation strategies.

Responsibilities include building school-family partnerships, improving classroom engagement, and supporting teachers in trauma-informed approaches.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social or behavioral science or related field.
• 1–3 years’ experience or training in social services.
• Experience working with children/youth and families with significant behavioral health needs.
• Ability to provide a strengths-based, client-centered approach to service delivery.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation
• Personal Automobile Insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide schoolwide trauma-informed practices training and education to school personnel.
• Offer individual and/or group interventions and psychoeducation to students.
• Provide liaison services to foster positive relationships between the school and families.
• Help teachers create trauma-informed classroom environments that meet student needs.
• Improve classroom engagement and educational achievement for students.
